- A one-semester comprehensive program for students / graduates from high schools and universities interested in professional career within the international frame;
- Brief awareness of international community´s efforts in conflict/postconflict/hazardous areas;
- Extended multi-semester module with follow-up internships within the international community.
explains the essence of peacemaking, peacekeeping, peacebuliding and confidence-building processes against the background of theoretical approaches to ethnic/ethno-social/tribal conflicts.
goes from the roots of conflicts over conflict dynamics up to conflict resolution. It goes from cooperation over competition up to conflict by using case studies from the field.
is focused on field skills and abilities: field reconnaissance, maps & GPS, off-road driving & radio communication, camera under stress, crisis & emergency situations, first aid, outdoor survival and how-to-apply session. And why Wednesday? And why Wednesday? Simply because on Wednesday you need to get out into the field…
deals with efforts of the international community in conflict and post-conflict countries, and in particular with peacebuilding and security activities of most important and most influential international organizations.
is the semester kick-off with the aim of drawing attention to the pros and cons and to picture the international community as a guarantor of peace and prosperity, a maintenance tool, an uncut missile and an unwanted element by using several case studies based on field experience.
goes through space and time, trying to explain why ethnicity is / is not a key factor. The audience can benefit from “ex-Czechoslovak” views, tematic films, documentaries and discussions.
are conducted with emphasis on practical field knowledge, whereas most of sites refer to local culture, history and dailylife. Low profile visiting policy makes these trips unique.
